TCL has just unveiled the TCL 30, 30+, and 30 5G. These three devices are quite similar to each other and have slight variations in specifications. One of the models is about offering 5G connectivity, which coincidentally packs more performance. TCL keeps pushing its name in the smartphone segment, even though only a time per year. However, the company certainly has the potential to keep up with timely releases. We just hope, that this TCL 30 series arrives as a beginning and not as the only device released by TCL in 2022. The company even has the potential to disclose some interesting foldable smartphones. Anyway, let’s see what these devices have in tow.
The TCL 30 5G packs the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. This chipset has been tirelessly used by low-end 5G smartphones, so we basically know everything we can expect from it. The phone has two ARM Cortex-A76 cores for performance and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of Internal Storage. The phone also has a micro SD card slot if you need extra storage. There are single or dual-SIM versions, but the micro SD card slot is dedicated.
A great addition in these TCL 30 series smartphones is the presence of Android 12. While companies are bringing devices with Android 11, TCL managed to prepare a TCL UI 4.0 that is based on the latest Android version.
The TCL 30 5G packs a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. Unfortunately, the refresh rate is limited at the 60 Hz standard. The phone also allows you to use the face unlock feature when needed. In terms of optics, the phone has a 50 MP primary camera with a f/1.8 aperture. The device also has a 13 MP selfie camera, plus two 2 MP snappers on the back for macro and depth sensing.
The phone draws powers from a 5,010 mAh battery with 18 W charging and comes in Dreamy Blue or Tech Black. The TCL 30 5G will cost €250 for the 4 GB / 64 GB variant. There is also a 128 GB option that costs €270.
Join GizChina on TelegramThe TCL 30 Plus comes with an Helio G37. That is a variant of the Helio G35 with some tweaks. But in essence, it’s the same 12 nm processor with eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores. It also has 4 GB of RAM with 128 GB of Internal Storage, plus a dedicated micro SD card slot.
The TCL 30 Plus packs a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 60 Hz refresh rate. The phone has a 50 MP main camera, and two 2 MP snappers. For selfies and video calls, the device has a 13 MP camera. It runs Android 12 straight out of the box.
The handset has a 5,010 mAh battery with 18W fast charging. All three models have 3.5 mm headphone jacks. However, the 30 and 30+ have dual speakers.
The TCL 30+ is launching in Europe now at a price of €200.
The 30 is almost the same phone as the Plus. The device is a more affordable version of the Plus, the main difference relies on the Storage department – 64 GB with micro SD support.
The front-facing snapper is an 8 MP shooter with a narrower Field of View. The phone has a 10W charger included, but the 5,010 mAh battery still supports 18 W charging. The phone will cost 180 Euros in Europe
Besides these three smartphones, the company also disclosed the TCL 30 SE and the TCL 30 E as entry-level offerings.
